Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to protect organizational assets.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security breaches promptly.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture and configurations.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents, documenting findings and actions taken.
  • Maintain and update firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
  • Perform risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
  • 3+ years of experience in network security or related IT roles.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or ISO 27001.
